THE OFFICIAL PROGRAMME. I THREE'DAYS' ARRANGEMENTS 1 SATURDAY'S WELCOME. i Details of the programme for the reception of the Prince of Wales on his arrival i at Auckland on Saturday morning were 1 announced in Wellington by the Prime < Minister last evening, and telegraphed by < the Press Association. With the rest of the programme, as originally arranged, ( they are as follows :— , 9.55 a.m. : His Royal Highness lands at 1 the Queen's Wharf, and is received i by His Excellency the Governor- { General, who will present the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister will present Ministers of the Crown, the £ chairman of the Harbour Board, and ' the Mayor of Auckland. The Prince '■ then proceeds to Government House, accompanied by his staff, the Prime ', Minister, and Ministers of the Crown. 10-15 a.m. : Presentation of an address from the Government at Government House. 10.30 Am. : The Prince returns to the Queen's Wharf to receive an address from the Harbour Board, after which he proceeds to the Town Hall, via Queen Street. 10. a.m.: Civic reception at the Town Hall and presentation of the civic address. After the Prince's acknowledgment those in the hall will file past His Royal Highness. Noon : Presentation by local bodies of addresses at Government House. 3 p.m. : Royal military review at Domain. Evening : Reserved by Governor-General. SUNDAY. 11 a.m. : The Prince attends Divine service at St. Mary's Cathedral, Parnell. 3 p.m.: Anzac Day memorial service in Town Hall. MONDAY. 10.30 a.m. : School children's display at Domain. Afternoon: The Prince will attend the Auckland Racing Club's special racemeeting on the EHerslie course. 8.30 p.m.: Reception in Town Hall by civic authorities. TUESDAY. ■Morning : Departure for Rotorua. EXCURSION FARES OK RAILWAYS. SPECIAL TRAINS TO RUN. Special arrangements have been made by the Railway Department in connection with the visit of the Prince of Wales. i Holiday excursion tickets will be issued i from Huarau, Hamilton, and intermediate I stations for Auckland on Friday and j Saturday next, and by morning trains on I April 26. Excursion tickets for Hamilton I will be issued at Mercer, Tanmarunui. | Waihi, Rotorua, and intermediate stations ! on April 26 and the morning of April 27. j For Rotorua tickets will be issued from I Frankton, Paeroa, Waihi, and intermediJ ate stations on April 26 and 27, and by morning trains on April 28. Special trains will be run on both the ! morning trains on April 28. Special trains will be run on both the Kaipara and Waikato lines on Saturday. A special train will also leave Swanson for Auckland at 1 p.m. on Sunday, and I one will leave Papakura for Auckland at 1.5 p.m. on the same day. , THE CHILDREN'S REHEARSAL. SPECIAL BANE HOLIDAYS. A rehearsal in connection with the children's display to be held on the Domain , on Monday has been arranged for to-day. i In tne event of the state of the weather i being such that postponement of. the rel hearsal is a possibility, teachers in charge | should communicate by telephone with the j Education Board's office before 9.15 a.m. • All the banks in the city, with the ex- ! ception of the Auckland Savings Bank, will be closed on Friday, St. George's . Day, Saturday, and Monday next. The : Auckland Savings Bank will be open on J Friday, but will be closed on Saturday and Monday. BETTJBNED HEN'S PARADES. MUFTI TO BE WORN. In view of the fact that many returned , soldiers do not possess uniforms fit to wear, the executive of the Auckland Rei j turned Soldiers' Association decided last ' evening that returned men should wear 1 mufti for both the Royal review and the Anzac Day parade. [ ENTERTAINMENT OF OFFICERS. ALL SPORTSMEN ON BOARD. i [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Tuesday. The Prime Minister has received from i some of his personal acquaintances among . the-officers of H.M.S. Renown a message ! stating that both officers and men are ' looking forward with the greatest pleasure , to their visit. The officers are all sportsmen, states Mr. Massey, and no entertainment offered them in the way of motoring, hunting, fishing, shooting, and other sports can come amiss. Such entertainment will, of course, be something entirely apart from trie official programme arranged for the Prince and his staff.
