PARISHIONERS' MEETING.
ST. PAUL'S CHURCH. The annual meeting of parishioners of St. Paul's Church was held last evening ,the vicar, the Bav. C. A. B. Watson, presiding over a good attpTirlftnivt, though no ladies were present. The report of the vestry stated that the parish funds were practically all in an improved position. The total indebtedness had been reduced by £180, and now stood at £1856, or, including the debt on the war memorial, £1909. Two sales of work had resulted in a combined net profit of £191. The parish war memorial, a stone tramway shelter, had been completed at a cost of £700. The building completion fund now stood at approximately £1150. Regret was expressed at the death of Mrs. Kelson, wife of the late vicar, Canon C. M. Nelson. The work of the various organisations connected with the church had been satisfactory. The balance-sheet snowed receipts £706, the chief items being: Genera! offertories, £301; special offertories, £92; endowments, donations, and grants, £230. The expenditure, including a balance of £43 brought forward from last year, was £693 15s 3d. . Ths Sun-day-school accounts and the various building and subsidiary acconnta were shown to be in a satisfactory position. Several speakers at the meeting expressed an earnest desire that the work of the completion of the church be undertaken as soon as possible. Beferenoe was made to the good work of the assisting clergy, the Bevs. "W. E. Lush and J. Blomfield. The following officers were elected: Vicar's churchwarden, Mr. E. C. Stevens; people'a churchwarden, Mr. E. C. Thomas; vestrymen. Dr. J. Hardie Neil, Messrs. IV. L. French, S. W. Hadlow, It. Hadlow, S. C. Richards. A. J. Stratford, T. Partridge, A. IX Stanley, and P. R. Dodwell.
