FLYING ANGEL MISSION.
j THE LADIES' COMMITTEE. 1 The first annual meeting of the ladies' committee of the Flying Angel Mission to Seamen was held yesterday afternoon. There was a large attendance, and several new names were added to the committee. Mrs. H. C. H. Walker was elected presi- , dent, and Mrs. A. M. Ferguson and Miss Alice Wilson, vice-presidents. Mrs. Presl ton Chambers was re-elected honorary secI retary and treasurer. • j The committee has decided to purchase j a site iii a well-elevated position, and. to ! begin building a suitable mission hall as ' soon as possible. A lame fair will hs he.d during July, and the proceeds devoted to the building fund and necessaryworking expenses. j, During the meeting a cheque was handed to the miss oner, Mr. A. P. Cowie. from members of the committee and friends In making the presentation the Rev F W. Young referred to the faithful work of both Mr. and Mrs. Cowio in the interests of the mission for almost 14 years.
