o|BT TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.) TAURANGA, Tuesday. The vital statist ; (or the Tauranga district for the quarter prided March 31, 1920, are as follows:—Births, 28; marriages, 6 ; deaths, 4. Twenty-three sections of land in the Manawahe block are now open for sale or lease under the Discharged Soldiers' Settlement Act. The areas range from 209 to 639 acres, and the capital values from £400 to £1180. The block is situated near Lake Rotoma, and is distant about 14 miles from Matata and 5i miles from, To Tuko. The election of representatives for various constituent districts to serve on the Tauranga Harbour Board will be held on April 21$. Present indications do not point to any special interest being taken in the contests. Miss M. E. Millar, who has been assistant teacher at the Ureerton school for about a year and a-half, has been transferred to Pokeno. Prior to her departure Miss M : llar was the recipient of presents from the pupils and parents. Farming and town lands continue to change hands at very satisfactory prices, sales in most instances being made to outside buyers.
