4» FURTHER REMAND GRANTED. The young man, Dennis Guan, who is charged with the murder of Mr. A. LL Braithwaite, postmaster at Ponsonby, and with robbing from the Ponsonby Post Office, appeared on remand in the Police Court, before Mr. J. E. Wilson, S.M., yesterday. As the accused had reallybeen remanded until to-day the usual large gathering of curious people was avoided. On tho application of Chief-Detective McMahon a. further remand for a week, •with leave to bring the accused up at any time in the interim, was granted.
