SAXON SPARTACISTS.

7*~ ♦ —— TOLLS ON THE WEALTHY. ORGANISED DESTRUCTION. GOVERNMENT TROOPS MOVING. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Becoived 5.30 p.m.) A. and N.Z. LONDON. April 12. The Berlin correspondent of the Daily Chronicle states that Hoeltz, the Spartacist leader in the Vogtland district of Saxony, continues his picturesque career, levying tolls upon war profiteers to the extent of 50,000 to 100,000 marks. A Berlin despatch states that in view of the approach of troops Hoeltz has ordered the formation of incendiary detachments at Plauen, for the purpose of burning the residences of the wealthy, town halls, official buildings, and railway bridges throughout Saxony. A Spartacist band at Falkenstein burned five houses, and threw hand grenades into several others. Hoeltz has left Plauen for the Bohemian frontier. Damage to the extent of 10,000,000 marks has been done in Essen by the "Reds."
