LOWER MEAT PRICES.
REDUCTION IN CHBISTCHURCH. [BY TELECBAPH.— CORRESPONDENT.] CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. ] The announcement hits been made by the Maeter Butchers' Association that the price of meat has been reduced Id per pound. This is the outcome of an agreement reached by the master butchers at Addington saleyards on Wednesday, and is based on the present prices of stock. A master butcher stated to-day that he did not think the price would fail any lower. The present reduced rate would, he thought, hold good for about three or four months.
