PROPOSED AUSTRALIAN VISIT. [by telegraph.—pbess association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. A meeting of tho executive of the New Zealand Hockey Association- was held to- ' day, when it-was reported that the replies of the associations . regarding the ■ proposed visit of a New South Wales team were very satisfactory. THE GAME AT TAURANGA. ' [BY tELEOBAPH—OWJI COBMBrO*MT)'EHT4 TAURANGA! Friday. ' A meeting of hockey players decided to ' form a hockey association. •! Mr. W.' H. 1 Poole was elected , president, and Mr. 3 Merryweather secretary. Several- of those present urged ' that the • season should be ' opened as early as possible, and that .'an effort should be made to form four local teams, with one.or two'teams from Te ' Puke to engage in the Innes Cup competi- ' tion. The opinion was also expressed that , Tauranga should enter a team for,. the ' Kusabs Shield, and also for the White 1 Horse Cup.
