Lemons "are somewhat scarcer, and oranges, are selling more, freely. Local apricots are done, nut fortunately .we have a shipment of.- choice Roxburgh apricots arriving to-day, and these are sure to sell well. Bananas? which were very low 'in value during the early part of the week, hardened at yesterday's sale. Hothouso grapes are in better eupajy, and prices easier than last week. , Cucumbeni are still declining yn value, but should see higher prices in a day or ,lwo. ' • ~ . Any fruit which iB reliable is bringing payable prices, but a large percentage of the stone fruit is affected with ripe rot, some of the supplies arriving in practically au unsaleable condition. There are also large lots of inferior apples arriving No doubt these are sent through the effects of the late gale and rain. Prices are easier, but any good .lines are realising _ payable rates. Tomatoes aro still high in price. The bulk of tho banana shipment is now finished, and it does not look as though there will be fresh supplies for another three weeks at ; least as both the Island boats are still in port. Apples arc dull, as the, large quantity of rubbish is affecting the sale of the first-class article. Produce: The market for new potatoes is keen, and good samples are realising from id to lid per lb; Onions are also selling well realising from lid to ltd per lb, if properly-dried off..
