ADMIRAL SIMS' CHARGES.
INVESTIGATION PROBABLE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Beef.. 5.10 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Jan. 10. It is expected that ' a complete Congressional. investigation will be held into the working of the Navy ; • Department as a result of the j 1 charges against it made by Admiral W. S. Sims. The latter cited 11 specific instances of alleged incompetence. He alleged that he was not provided with an adequate staff | in London, that he did not receive : the naval units he desired, and that i the ships he required were greatly | delayed. [ Mr. T. J. Walsh has introduced in the Senate a motion, condemning | Admiral Sims for disclosing confiI dential information affecting international relationships.
