' The Paris correspondent of ,the Daily Express states'< that the Supreme Council has decided to raise the blockade ofßussia completely. Lor 4 Beatty, Sir Henry Wilson, and Mr. Winston Churchill participated in the conferences discussing Allied defensive; measures in the Middle East. It is understood that troops will be sent to the Caucasus and a strong naval force, to preserve order, to the Black . Sea. Practically all the.big ships of the British Mediterranean fleet are steaming ' thither.. ? The Supreme Council regards the reopening of trade, together with the subsequent resumption .of general economic, and presumably diplomatic, relations us the surest prolection' against the Bolshevik menace. Measures will be taken, to prevent Bolshevik propaganda from filtering eastward.
