MANUKAU AND WAITEMATA,
The final licensing return for Manuksii reduces the majority for prohibition i.iti that electorate from 822 to 813. <" The figures are as follows, those announced last Wednesday being given in -parentheses : —Continuance, 3046 (2955);' State control, 339 (321); prohibition, ,4198 (4098). There were 159 informal votes. - The recount of the votes in the Wailemata district has not been completed, as there may be a few absent votes "still to be included. A total of 356 votes- by absent voters, seamen, and soldiers and on declaration have been included, these being distributed as follows:— continuance, 150; for State purchase, 22; and for prohibition, 184. The recount disclosed a mistake in the first count, the revised statement of the poll now, being as follows: For continuance, 3221: for State purchase, 426; for prohibition, 4720. This shows a majority for prohibition of 1073, compared with 944. as previously announced.

The figures are as follow : —Christchurch South : Continuance, 3769 : State Purchase, 534; Prohibition, 4281 informal,- 135. Christchurch East : : nuance, 4552; State Purchase, 554; Prohibition, 4146; informal, 167.
