ROSS SMITH AND BROTHER. BOTH AWARDED K.B.E. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 1130 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 22. Knighthoods of the Order of the British Empire have been conferred on Captain Ross Smith and his brother, Lieutenant Keith Smith, who accompanied him on his flight from England to Australia. The two other members of the Vickers-Vimy crew, Sergeant J. M. Bennett and Sergeant W. M. Shiers, have received bars to the Distinguished Flying Medal, which both have already gained.
