The three-storey brick building in Queen Street, occupied by the Globe Picture Theatre and another tenant, which was offered for sale at auction by Messrs. Samuel Vaile and Sons on December 15, and which was passed in on that occasion at £33,000, has now been sold by the firm named for £34,500 to a resident of Gisborne.
