The inquest concerning the death of a child whose body was found in a house ,in Queen's Drive on November 28 was I resumed to-day. Dr. Drennan, who examined the body, was of opinion that the child had breathed, ! and that death had occurred from asphyxii ation. J The mother of the infant, Ethel Victoria Andrew, said she was 22 years of age. Her parents were dead. She was employed in domestic service. She gave birth to the child on the date mentioned. I The coroner's verdict was that the cause I of death was asphyxiation. | The mother was immediately arrested and charged with manslaughter. She was remanded till Monday next.
