BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY. ... s I A. fair amount of business was done on the Stock Exchange yesterday. la investment lines banks were neglected, and the , only quotation at the last call was a seller of New Zealands (fully paid) at £19 Is. In insurances New Zealands had sellers at 32fii buyers 31s. South British.had inquiry at £8 lis, but there were no sellers under £8 17s. For Nationals 73s was offered, no sellers quoting. In gas, Aucklands again sold at 26e 9d, at which price more were on offer, buyers 26e 6d. For contributing issue 17s 6d was offered. In shipping, Huddart-Parkers were looked tor at 48s, sellers 495. In timbers, business was reported in Kauris (con.) at 17s od. In miscellaneous lines there was a reported transaction in Milne and Choyce (B pref.) at 27a 3d. In mining, Waihis were again a little easier, selling at 49s 6d and 49s 3d, with late sellers at 49s 6d, and buyers at 48s 6d.
