PRINCE OF WALES RETURN.

UNEMPLOYED DEPUTATION. SYMPATHETIC RECEPTION. A. and N.Z. LONDON. Dec. 4. A heavy ' downpour marred the splendour of the reception of the Prince of Wales at Portsmouth and London on his return from Canada. Four hundred unemployed participated in a demonstration at Portsmouth. The Prince received a deputation of three. He cordially shook the men by the hand and said: "I will do my best; I very much appreciate your coming to me." Replying to the official welcome he said that the tour had been a delightful and most valuable experience. It would influence his whole life. He returned greatly impressed with the value of constant personal intercourse between this country and the New World.
