BEET SUGAR IN BRITAIN.
GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY. (Received 8.30 p.m.) Times. LONDON, Dec. 1. The Government has invested £250,000 in a private beet sugargrowing company, which has been established' at Kelham. It also guarantees investors 5 per cent, .upon their capital.
