NUDE GIRL IN STREET.
STRUGGLE FOR A KNIFE, Extraordinary scenes were witnessed in Hammersmith, London, when a girl clerk, recently employed at the Ministry of Munitions, whose mind had been suddenly affected by the weather, ran nude through the streets, followed by a large crowd. The girl is 26 years old, and she is said to be the daughter of an artist. One morning her landlady found her without any clothes on, trying to enter the room of another boarder at the house. She then dashed out of the house. A dustman tried to induce her to go back, but she started to run up the street. She ran past several shops and finally entered a butcher's, where she made a determined attempt to secure his knife. The butcher struggled with her and succeeded in turning her out of the shop. The girl continued her flight, followed by the crowd, and finally took refuge in a dairyman s ehop. Here she was detained and removed by the police to the infirmary.
