! ODDFELLOWS' LODGE FORMF.L. [BT TELEGRAPH—OWN SPONT»-VT ] ! ROTORUA. Thursday. A well attended public meeting i\»s held on Tuesday night in St. Johr.'s Hail, Rotorua, to arrange for the n of a lodge of the Independent Order ■ : Oddfellows of New Zealand, America!; ('.institution. Mr. W. Hill, resident officer, presided. Addresses v. ere given by Messrs. G. K. Skelleni, district deputy grandmaster, H. F. Brooke, Grand Lhl-o representative, and H. Hickson, chaplain, who outlined the advantages of the Order and urged young men to join -some friendly society. It was decided to form a lodge of the Order in Rotorua. Twenty-live members were initiated and 21 candidates were proposed for membership. The following wero elected officers— H. Bertram, Messrs. A. W. Stevens (N.G.), - G. V. Jones (V.G.), H. Maophersoa (treasurer). L. H. Pickering (secretary), F. B. Smith (rec. secretary), and the lU:v. H. T. Peat (chaplain).
