MILITARY FUNERAL.
A veteran of the Maori war, Mr. James McCauley, who died on Tuesday at the Veterans' Home, was accorded a. military 'funeral yesterday at the Waikaraka Cemetery. The service, which was- conducted by the Rev. W. McDonald of Onehunga, was attended by the veterans, under the command of Major Carpenter, superintendent of the home. Mr. McCauley, who arrived in New Zealand in 1860, served during the Waikato war with the 14th Regiment of Foot.
