SOLDIERS CAUSE A RIOT.
ATTACK ON UNDESIRABLES.
ATTEMPT TO CLEAR A TOWN.

A riot took place at Charleville, where a band of returned soldiers decided to clear the town of undesirables. In many conflicts with the police several were injured. Further bloodshed was avoided by the police promising to expel the undesirables. All the hotels were closed.
