IMPROVEMENTS PROPOSED. LOAN OF £9900 AUTHORISED. [by telegraph— COBBESPONDENT.J TAUEANGA. Tuesday. A poll was taken on Saturday last in the Maketu, Te Puna, and Katikati Ridings on proposals to raise a loan of £9900 for the improvement of the main coast road in the three ridings named. Complete returns were received to-day by the county clerk, and show that the proposals were carried in each riding by a substantial majority, the voting beini,' as follows : — Maketu Riding, for 80. against 16; Te Puna Riding, for 28, against 0; Katikati Biding, for 39, against
