HORTICULTURAL SHOW.

SUMMER EXHIBITION. t HIGH STANDARD OF MERIT. THE PRIZE WINNERS. The summer show of the Auckland Horticultural Society \ras held yesterday at the Epsom Showgrounds, in conjunction with the Agricultural Show. Considering the fact that the exhibition has not been held for several years, and that the weather lately %as been very dry, the exhibits attained a high standard of merit. The show was held in a marquee which readily lent iteelf to an effective arrangement of the flower stands. The table decoration exhibits were the subject of much favourable comment, while some good blooms were staged in tho rose, sweet pea and carnation classes, which were numerically strong. In addition to the competitive blooms, some fin© exhibits were made by Messrs. H. Brett, J. G. Dodds, and E. White. THE PRIZE LIST.
