MOTOR-CAR CATCHES FIRE.
DRIVER'S NARROW ESCAPE.

ORUANUI. Monday. During extensive scrub fires yesterday Mr. W. Palmer was driving a new c.j between Wairakei and Oruanui, when the car caught fire in the front and rear. Mr. Palmer managed to get out, but both his hands were burned, though not seriously.
