BOISTEROUS WEATHER.
CONDITIONS AT AUCKLAND.
The weather at Auckland during the week-end was very boisterous, and at times stormy. The tine weather that had been experienced for over a week was followed on Saturday by a fresh, westerly gale, which commenced in the early morning and continued until evening. In the afternoon the weather was showery. Yesterday the wind blew strongly from the westward, but the weather remained fine. The barometer, which had been fairly high for over a week, fell from 30.05Ln at midnight on Friday to 29.80 m by 6 p.m. on Saturday. It rose to 29.90 in by midnight, and remained steady until 2 p.m. yesterday, when it fell to its former level of 29.80 in, at which it remained up to a late hour.
The following forecast was issued by Mr. Clement L. Wragge at 9.30 p.m. yesterday : —Conditions are likely to be somewhat unsettled and showery under the second portion of the disturbance named Uvath, with winds from between north-west, west and south-west. The unsettled weather will be more pronounced south from Auckland. Sea moderate on the East Coast, but rather rough on the western seaboard.
