REMISSION OF SENTENCE. [BT TELEGRAPH.—TRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHR, TTCHUKCH. Tuesday. Charged with desertion by absenting himself from a medical examination at Timiru, Arthur Johnson, who was arrested at Invercargill, was found guilty by a court martial. Johnson stated that he enlisted, was rejected, and thought he was rejected : altogether. Therefore he did not notify ; his change of address. I Col. Chaffey, officer commanding tha ! district-, confirmed the finding the Court- ' martial, but remitted the sentence, and the prisoner was released.
