BOXING IN ENGLAND.
BOMBARDIER WELLS RETURNS TIM CUKPHEY KNOCKED OUT. A. and N.Z. LONDON. Oct. 19. Bombardier Wells knocked out Tim Curphey in the second round of their match at the Holborn Stadium. Curphey commenced fierce rushes, bustling Wells, but, keeping cool. Wells showed flashes of his old form. He finished the fight with a beautifully timed right hook to the chin, followed by a left to the other side.
Fred. Fulton, the American boxer, fights Captain Gordon Coghill, the Australian boxer, on Thursday next.
