(Reed. 7.50 p.m.) PARIS, Oct. 19. The Chamber of Deputies passed a Bill extending an amnesty to military offenders during the war. It was revealed during the debate th?»t there had been 197,000 convictions for military offences during the war. M. Painleve unsuccessfully pleaded for pardon to be extended to the offenders in the 1917 army mutiny. It was stated that 25 persons had been executed in connection with the mutiny.
