SALE OF CITY PROPERTY.
WINKS AND HALL'S PREMISES.
PURCHASE PRICE £15,000.
The sale of another Shortland Street property has just been effected, the threestorey brick building in which Messrs. Winks and Hall have carried on their furniture business for 56 years, having been disposed of through the agency of Mr. W. Mowbray. The property has a frontage to Shortland Street of 32ft and a depth of 140 ft, and is bounded on the lower side by a right-of-way known as Cromwell Place. The price paid for the property was £15,000, and the purchaser intends to remodel the interior of the building, and convert it into suites of offices for which there is still a very large demand in the city. Messrs. Winks and Hall will retain their building at the near of the section fronting Chancery Street, where they will carry on their business.
