AUCKLAND SEAPLANE BASE.

CHRISTCHURCH, Monday.

Referring to' the question of aviation in the course of an interview to-night, the Minister for Defence, Sir James Allen, said that in all probability an aerodrome would be maintained in Christchurch and a seaplane base in Auckland. Asked if the Government proposed to take over the Sockburn aerodrome and the Auckland seaplane school, he said the Government's policy had not yet been completed.
