SOLDIER'S VIEW OF LIFE.
GREAT VALUE OF FRIENDSHIP
An address on "The Returned Soldier the Citizen, and Christianity" was given to men by the Rev. W. Bullock, organisIng secretary in New Zealand to the Church of England Men's Society, in tin Tq,wn Hall concert chamber yesterday afternoon. Mr. C. Hudson presided. Mr Bullock said the returned soldier differed from his fellow citizen by reason ol ins great experience in the war, which would remain for him the colossal landmark m his life. Life in the trenches was on. > made worth while by the comradeship of another, but it had to be something based on self-sacrifice. The soldier had arrived a* a conclusion Tory similar to that ot th,_ ordinary citizen, that it was lack i.: friendship that started the war. here was need in building up our national life acrain for fellowship. Christ must not be kept outside national affairs.
