DAYLIGHT SAVING.
ABANDONED IN AMERICA
The " daylight saving'' plan ha- been abandoned in the United States. It i? now in operation, but recently Congress passed a special Bill repealing the measure. This was promptly vitoed by tinPresident but was subsequently repassed over the President'- veto by a two-thirds majority of both Houses, thus h.vmiun, a law 'without the President's signature. This matter is now finally disposed of and next summer no change will be made in the standard time.
