INCREASE IN BRITAIN. MANY LARGE VESSELS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed 12.30 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 15. Lloyd's Register states that the tonnage of ships building in British yards at the end of September was 2,016,773, representing an increase of 293,000 tons over the tonnage in the quarter ended on June 30, and 1.070,000 tons over the tonnage in the quarter ended September 30, 1918. The ships under construction include 42 over 10,000 tons, and 151 over 6000 tons. The total tonnage building abroad is 5,213,809, a decrease of 262.000 tons, compared with the return for the June quarter.
