HOUSES FOR RETURNED MEN. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] MORRINSVILLE, Thursday. The Morrinsville Town Board has decided to instruct the engineer to proceed at once with taking permanent levels and to defer the report on the roading scheme until the water drainage schemes were disposed of. An account for £157 10s, engineers' fees in connection with the Kuranui water bore, was held over until an explanation as to the details was received from the engineers. The Labour Department advised that negotiations were pending with the Land Department to take over applications for workers' dwellings made by returned soldiers. As soon as this was completed, dwellings would be allotted to Morrins- | ville.
