OBITUARY.
DEATH OF AN OLD COLONIST. MR. JOHN LETT. Mr. John Lett, who died at Devonport yesterday at the age of 77, arrived in New Zealand in the ship Stately in 1855. „ His father, the late Mr. Charles Lett, had emigrated to New Zealand ten years before. Mr. Lett entered the boofemaking trade in Wellington, and carried on business there until 1905, when he retired and removed to Devonport. Hi? wife died some years ago. Mr. Lett is survived by two sons and one daughter.
