Mr. F. H. Burbush. district repatriation officer, left for Wellington last evening to attend the Dominion returned soldiers' conference. Mr. John Meuli, of Wanganui, has been appointed secretary of the North island Brass Band Association, in succession to Mr. Holten, who has resigned. Major E. L. Hqrnibrock, a-sistant-director of works for the New Zealand Military Forces, who has been on a visit to Rotorua, has arrived in Auckland. Colonel T. A. Hunter, of Dunedin director of dental services, is returning to New Zealand by the Remuera. at the end of the month. Colonel Hunter went to London some months ago on work related to demobilisation. Mr. George Bush, manager in Nelson and on the West Coast for the Kaiapoi Woollen Company, who has been in the service of the company for 26 years is leaving at the end of the yoar to enter into a partnership in Auckland. Mr. Frank B. Bolt has been appointed by the Public Service Commissioner to the position of supervisor of new business for the Government Insurance Department, in succession to Mr. George Robertson, who recently retired on superannuation. Mr. Bolt, who is the second sea of the late Hon. W. M. Bolt. M.L.C., in recent years' was manager for the D* partment in Otago.
