WITHDRAWAL OF GERMANS.
PROMISES FROM BERLIN. OBEDIENCE EXPECTED. By Telegraph— Association—Copyright. (Received 12.5 a..m.) A. and N.Z. BERLIN. Oct. 3. Germany to-morrow will despatch a reply to the Allies' ultimatum regarding the withdrawal of German troops in the Baltic States! It is expected that the Government will promise to evacuate the Baltic Provinces. A German wireless message announces that von Der Goltz's departure is imminent. Although a definite date cannot be fixed owing to the unsettled condition of the country, the Government's instructions will be loyally carried out. CONFERENCE OF STATES. FORMATION OF ALLIANCE. R « uter - PARIS. Oct 8. A conference of Baltic States rpgarding peace and the formation of an alliance of the Baltic States reached full agreement concerning joint action.
