ACTION FOR DAMAGE'S. PLAINTIFF AWARDED £43 123. The civil action in which Sydney J. Hal-butt (Mr. Richmond) sued Dr. E. X owton Drier (Mr R. Matthews) for £83 12a damages following a motor-car collision, was concluded before Mr. E. C. <Vttcn, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court \ esterday. The plaintiff alleged that while he vraa driving along New North lioad on . his proper side the defendant drove his car cut of Argyie Street so careInsiJy and negligently that he collided •with plaintiff« car. After having visited the scene of the collision, the magistrate decided that the accident was caused through the defendant "cutting the corner." Judgment was givnn for She plaintiff for £33 12e to cover repairs, and £10 general damages. . sin tiff was also owed costs.
