PATIENTS AT WOLFE HOME.
REMOVAL OF SOLDIERS.
SENT TO THE COUNTRY.
The soldier patients who have been undergoing treatment at the Wolfe Home, Avondale, for mental trouble, were yesterday removed to the institution at Tokamu, near Te Awamutu. It is stated that the parents of a number of the afflicted men object strongly to their removal to what is regarded as an inaccessible place. Mr. C. R. Moses, a member of the deputation which waited upon the Returned Soldiers' Association on the subject tof soldiers suffering from mental trouble, telegraphed to the Prime Minister yesterday, reaffirming that there were shell shock cases at the Wolfe Home, and protesting against the removal of the men to Tokanui. The first-named institution, he said, was in every way suitable, so long ae the supervision was not relegated to the civil authorities. The executive of the Returned Soldiers' Association will discuss the question at its next meeting.
