THE NEED FOR DREDGING.
REQUEST FROM TE AROHA.

TE AROHA, Thursday.
The Borough Council last night decided to ask the Marine Department to have the Waihou River, between Paeroa and Te Aroha, dredged at once, otherwise there was an extreme likelihood of the cargo service being suspended entirely during the summer mouths, as several sandbars impede the navigation of the river. has proved very valuable to a great district during the railway curtailment, motor-lorries conveying cargo from the Te Aroha Wharf to Hamilton, Morrinsville, Matamata, and other district*.
