VICTORY WAR LOAN.

INVESTMENTS IN AUCKLAND.

BRISK BUSINESS YESTERDAY.

LAST DAY TO SUBSCRIBE.

Business in Auckland yesterday in connection -with the Victory War Loan of £10,000,000, which closes to-day, was stated to have been very brisk. The banks reported that a large number of investors had called during the day to complete arrangements for the purchase of stock, while to-day is expected to be even busier, owing to a great many applications having been held over until the last moment. The subscriptions made at the chief post office yesterday were very large, additional assistants being required to deal with the business. The total amount subscribed at the post office is stated to be disappointing, however.
