Act. 1908, cornprising a iota! area of 86.367 acre*, as «hown by the annual report furnished by the Depart imnt of Lands and Survey. 1-;tr new domain-- '-on'-aiiiing a total area of, oi acres were constituted during the yeai, and three of these are now- controlled by loral domain board*', but no boards have yet, been appointed for the remainder . * During the past, three or four years d'-nMiti lauds have not been greatly used for athletic, purpoi.e*., o'cing to tho absence on active service oi the. majority of the voung men of the Dominion, and a khortago of labour, and in numerous cases a falling off of revenue under war condition" has prevented the boards from carrying out many necessary improvements to the land? under their control. However, more rise of domain* may be confidently anticipated during the <rcaaing year.
