VISITORS' ENGAGEMENTS.

"AT HOME" AT BISHOPSCOURT BALL FOR MEN THIS EVENING. An "At Home" in honour of Lord Jellicoe and Lady Jellicoe will be given this afternoon at Bi.-hopscourt, Parnel], by the Missions to Seamen. The admiral has no public engagements for this morning or evening. He will leave for Rotorua by train at a quarter-past nine tomorrow morning, and will return next Wednesday evening. The petty officers and men of the New Zealand will be entertained this afternoon at a matinee in the Opera House, and this evening the ball organised by the Auckland Returned Soldiers" Association will be held in the Town Hall, elaborate preparations have been made fur the ball, and it is expected there will be about 600 couples present. The main entertainment for the men to-morrow will be a smoke concert in the Town Hall in the evening. A general invitation has also been issued to the visiters to attend the Auckland Kennel Club's annual show. Th „ rei(3ent officer at Bothnia. Mr W. Hill, has received a telegram from the general manager of the Tourist Department Mr. B. M Wilson, stating that Lord Jellicoe regrets he is unable to accept the invitation to runner at Rotorua or the Maori entertainment at night as' he will be very busy at Rotorua in the preparation of his report.
