A BUSY TIME AT MEIKLE'S.

Already the well-known firm of D. Meikle and Go. are busied in unpacking their first shipment of spring goods from the old world fashion centres, and quantities of these novel and attractive lines are now on view at the familiar premises. Vaiu House, corner Queen and Wellesley Streets. Further extensive shipments are due to arrive shortly. Meantime a few particulars of those already to hand will prove of interest to lady readers. Firstly the new trimmed millinery demands attention. It embraces a host of smart goods, representative of the very latest modes, and which compel admiration. There is also a fine assortment of the newest shapes (untrimmed). flowers and sundries.

Hie new costumes (another of Meikle's specialties), are ultra stylish. They are in both light and dark colourings, "prices ranging from 119s 6d up. The specially imported silk voile frocks are very charming, and there is quite a good selection of the fashionable silt sports coats, fresh from the manufacturers. 'I hey are obtainable at from 65s Two shipments of the famous D. and A. corsets, owing to delay in transit, are on offer at. very special prices. These must be quitted to make room for other shipments now on the water. Thev are priced at from 8s 6d. Heaps of other new models, at various prices, may be had. The new season's -Dlouses for silks in crepe de chine, Japanese, and other makes, are sure to please, and the new white and coloured voiles will also find many buyers. The dress materials are varied in style and effects. They are beautiful goods, and all moderately priced. By the way, ladies visiting Meikle's Spring Show should ask to be shown a line of cream pedal straw (ready-to-wear). Usually priced at 13s 6d this lot (a special purchase) are actually offered at 9s 6d each. There are only five dozen, so early inspection is advisable. The value is wonderful.— (Advt.) i
