OBITUARY.

MRS. N. DICKEY. Mrs. Dickey, wife of Mr. Nathaniel Dickey, a well-known settler, at present residing at Dargaville, died yesterday at the age of 66. Mr. and .airs. Dickey, who lately resided at Ellerslie, and formerly at Tauranga, Thames, and Paeroa, wero heavily stricken by the late influenza, epidemic, their three eons having saccombed to attacks of tie disease. The iihock of the treble bereavement to Mrs.. Dickey, who. up till that time, had enjoyed good health, was very severs, and she had a paralytic seizure from which she never recovered. She had a second seizure on Thursday night, and a thiro* which occurred yesterday, terminated fatally. Mrs. Dickey, who shared with her husband the esteem of = wide circi* of friends, leaves two daughters. MR. C. O'C. H, GORDON. Mr. Chas. O'C. H. Gordon, son of Mrs. and the late Mr. H. A. Gordon, of Epsom died at Hamilton as a result of the after effects of an attack of influenza. His sisters are Mrs. W. Bridson. of Wellington, Mrs. J. Peacock, of Auckland, Mrs. Thomas, of Te Awamnta, and Mrs. Glennev, of England. Mr. Gordon, who leaves a wife and five children, was an engineer and was in charge of the work of laying down the Takapuna tramway track some years ago. He was 42 years of age.
