ACCOUNTANT'S SUDDEN END
COLLAPSES AT WORK.
DEATH DUE TO SYNCOPE. [BY TELEGBAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PUKEKOHE, Thursday.
An accountant, Mr. Alexander Grant, died suddenly at his office this afternoon. He was transacting business with a client, when, without warning, he fell from his chair, and died before medical aid could reach him.
An inquest was opened later in the day before the district coroner, Mr. C. Road*ley ; Evidence was given by Dr. Campbell Smith, who conducted a post-mortem examination. He stated that the deceased bad atheroma of an advanced type of the chief vessels of the heart, fatty degeneration of the waills of the right ventricle, and an engorgement of the left ventricle. The cause of death was syncope. The deceased was a married man, aged 52 years. He leaves a widow, but no children.
