PONSONBY CRUISING CLUB. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The 13th annual meeting of the Poasonby Cruittmg Club *?" held V* taa clabadu**. at. Mary's Bay. last ovcamg. Tb* commodore, Mr. B: J. Kelly, presided, and there •was a good attendance* • The annual report stated that the liability on the clubhouse hid boea paid off* leaving the club foe* from debt and with a Bood cash balance. The club held racing oa .six Saturdays last seitson, one moire dSy than in the previous season. Entries at the beginning were poor, but improved as the season protrreasted. The annual *eß*tt* proved a success from both the racing and the financial point of view. The club carried on it« usual -winter amd ffiaaraer socials, I »'hxcii were a great source of revenue* the receipts from this source amounting to £109 jfi 3LGd and the expenditure £57 Us 4d. ! le * v _ ia g a credit balance of £&1 13» 6d. The revenue for the past season had been I » record, having reached the amount of I £342 Qe 4d. After paying off debentures 1 amounting w> £60 and writing off 5 per cent. , for depreciation on clubhouse and plant the : club had a cash balance of £57 4s 3d to ?WT?- "forward. It I was decided to support the function, which mil tfcko the form of a social and dance. On the motion of Mr. C. Butler it was I rtecided that the question of dealing with the restrictions in the mullet-boat classes ! bo brought before the Auckland Yacht and ! Motor Boat Association, for a definite ruling I A number of new members were elected, and several trophies were promised. . Tlie retiring secretary, Mr. T. Phillip, who is leaving Auckland, was presented with a handsome leather hand-bag. suitably inBcnoed, as a mark of appreciation of services rendered by him during his term of office.
