FIRE AT MOUNT ALBERT.

MOTOR GARAGE DESTROYED.

CAR REMOVED UNDAMAGED. i N • A garage in Allendale Road, Mount Albert, owned by Mr. H. T. Merritt, was destroyed by fire shortly before 11 o'clock last night. The Mount Albert Fire Brigade answered the alarm, but were unable to quench the flames, owing to the quantity of benzine which had become ignited.

A motor-car that was in the garage was removed without damage. The garage had been built only a few weeks.
