EARTHQUAKES AT VAVAU.
VAVAU (Tonean Group), Aug. 19,
Several sharp shocks of earthquake, extending over a period of about four minutes, were experienced here at an early hour this morning. Considerable excitement was caused among the natives. Fortunately, as far as can be ascertained, no damage was done.
